Has anyone had similar experiences? This may have been one of the most frustrating and difficult experiences infusing that I have ever had. I would love to hear some helpful hints so this won't happen again!
Hemophilia has had a huge effect on my life and despite everything this disorder limits me in, there are more then enough ways to lead a normal exciting life. This blog is designed to show those living with this disorder, whether it directly effects you or a family member or friend, how to live an exciting and normal life despite some limitations. Enjoy and feel free to share your stories as well!

Difficult Day One

Perhaps you can put your mom in your pack while you climb Kili ... she might fit ;-)
ReplyDeleteDude, that's intense! I don't think I have ever had to give it more than two goes! But then, again my veins are big enough I could probably treat with my eyes shut. Just randomly came across your blog and wanted to say that I dig it. I've never really been involved in the community (i.e., I don't know any hemos my age), but it is nice to see others out there doing similar things as me! I used to live in your neck of the woods (Boulder - now I live in SF), so it is a shame I didn't run into you years ago. It would have been fun to have shredded some moguls with another hemo.
ReplyDeleteHey great to hear from a fellow hemo! Yeah that was probably the worst day of infusion ever! I'm not entirely sure what went wrong but I know I hadn't drank any water that day so that probably didn't help. Kind of a bummer we didn't meet out here, probably would've blown peoples minds that two hemos were rippin the moguls. If you're ever out in the area you know where to find me!
